On September 11 this year the 17 kids from Project REACH participated at Kennedy Park in a United As Americans Remembrance ceremony, giving away stickers, flags, and programs. The Lewiston Police and Fire Departments attended this ceremony, along with Rep. Cote, Mayor Raymond and families of Maine residents lost in the 9-11 incident. Although cold weather, over 200 people still attended this special moment.
Project REACH is a class at Lewiston Middle School that participates in community and service learning projects. The class is made up of both 7th and 8th grade students who come from every part of the city. Feel free to contact them at LMS 795-4180.
