I am writing in regard to a letter I read in the paper on Jan. 18 where a woman stated that a Somali man said Somalis don’t like or support homosexuals.

The Somalis came, cried racism and everything else, and said the people here don’t support them.

Well, any shred of support I had left for Somalis went out the window after I read that letter. That is what I like to call a double standard. They want me to support them, yet they can’t support me?

I don’t think so. It doesn’t work that way.

I am sick and tired of listening to Somalis complain. If a regular Lewiston resident says anything bad about Somalis they are racist, which, I might add, isn’t fair or right.

Calling for our mayor to step down? Please!

If Somalis call the mayor a bigot, I suggest that they take a look at themselves as well.

Let it be publicly known that I do not support Somalis in any way, shape or form. I know all about the Muslim stuff, but that’s no excuse to not like gay people.
