I attended the Lewiston/St. Dom’s hockey game on Feb. 1. When I saw the article in the Sunday paper, I must say, I was not surprised.

For as long as I can remember and my mother before me, the Sun Journal has always printed sports stories regarding these two schools in favor of St. Dom’s. The fact of the matter is, there are three high schools in the Twin Cities, but when it comes to a match with St. Dom’s only one ever gets press.

I was just wondering if the editor had an explanation?

In the past, I have seen articles where LHS has won a hockey game and the article states that, but the picture in relation to the article is of a St. Dom’s player. Does that make sense to anyone else?

These kids — from all three schools — spend countless hours practicing. Don’t you think they all deserve their time in the spotlight?

For some reason I thought the press was supposed to be impartial. I guess that does not apply to high school sports in central Maine.
