Sens. Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins have lost my vote.
I don’t think that I’ll ever vote for them again. It’s not that I don’t believe they do their jobs well, or that I believe they are corrupt. The issue simply is that I am appalled that they have not spoken out against this ludicrous war that our military is staging against a far less powerful and stable nation.
They have a responsibility to represent me, and any politician who is not coming out in earnest opposition to the war does not represent me!
I know that they have worked for positive effects in the state of Maine. Therefore, it does pain me to inform them that, as long as I live in Maine, I almost certainly will not vote for them again — unless they begin to represent me by speaking out against the bombing of Iraq.
