WILTON — Wilton Senior Citizens will meet at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 9, at SeniorsPlus. Local musician Barry Wood will entertain.

At the last meeting, cards of cheer were sent to Mary Esty, Ilene Smith and Alice Farrington. Communications were read from Bette Farnum and Marjory Bryant. Nelda Doak, who spent time in the San Diego, Calif., area brought a promotional video titled “Sand Diego — Above All,” a 1996 production of KPBS. A discussion followed.

Extension auction

WILTON — Wilton Day Extension will meet at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 10, at the First Congregational Church for Maine Part Two and Silent Auction. Those attending should bring photos of what they’d like to show about Maine.

Gospel concert

WILTON — Diane Muise of Auburn will present a concert of gospel music at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, April 13, at Calvary Hill Baptist Church, Routes 2 and 4. The public is invited to attend. There is no admission charge. A freewill offering will be taken.

SALEM — A country/bluegrass show featuring A + E’s Hill Country Music will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at the Community Building, weather permitting. The event is sponsored by Salem Pinetree Club.

Civil War topic

FARMINGTON — The Farmington Historical Society will meet at 6 p.m. for a potluck supper followed by a business meeting and program at 7 p.m. Monday, April 14, at the Henderson Memorial Baptist Church on Academy Street.
