PARIS – The Community Christian Choir will present an Easter Cantata at three different locations under the direction of Mary Standard with Maurise Veatch at the piano.

Performances will be at the West Paris Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13; Perkins Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, Perkins Valley Road, Woodstock; and the Oxford Hills Assembly of God Church at 6 p.m. Sunday, April 20, on the Coldwater Brook Road, Oxford.

Old Home Days

WEST PARIS – The Old Home Days Planning Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, April 14, at the town hall. The committee has been busy planning a variety events, including a petting zoo, pony rides, parade, beano, demonstrations and car show.

Sunday services

PARIS – The Palm Sunday service and Easter Sunday service at the North Paris Federated Church will be at 8 a.m.

Services at the West Paris Baptist Church will be at 9:15 a.m. with no evening service. The West Paris Mission Congregational Church will have a service at 11 a.m.

Holy Week services

STONEHAM – The Rev. George Frobig has announced Easter week worship schedule for the Oxford County United Parish. Maundy Thursday service will be at 6 p.m. at the North Waterford Congregational Church vestry. The service will include a simple supper and holy community. The Easter Sunday sunrise service begins at 5:45 at Keoka Lake Town Beach.

The service will be jointly led by Frobig and the Rev. Anita White of the Waterford Congregational Church. Breakfast will be served at the Stoneham Congregational Church vestry after the service.

Frobig invites all members and friends to the Easter Sunday morning service worship service at 10 a.m. at the Stoneham Church. There will be no Sunday school that day.

Easter schedule

SUMNER – The East Sumner Congregational Church and West Paris Mission Congregational Church are combining for a sunrise service and Easter breakfast at the East Sumner church. Sunrise service is at 6 a.m., breakfast at 7 followed by a 9 a.m. service at the East Sumner church. The West Paris Easter service will be at 11 a.m. at the West Paris church.

Church services

PARIS – The North Paris Federated Church will have an Easter service at 8 a.m. and the West Paris Baptist Church Easter service will be at 9:15 a.m. with Sunday school at 10:15. There will be no service on Easter Sunday evening.

Grange degrees

BRYANT POND – Franklin Grange 124 will confer the four subordinate Grange degrees at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 27. Those attending should arrive by 3.

Spring fair

WEST PARIS – A spring fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at the West Paris Grange on Church Street. There will be crafts and food. Luncheon at noon. Table rental is $5. For more information, call 674-3872.

Bridge results

NORWAY – Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge met with five tables playing the Howell Movement on April 4. First place went to Nancy Farmer and Marta Clements; second, Richard Allen and Peter Cummings; third, Barbara and Paul Beegel; fourth, Mike and Pat Quinn.
