1918 – 2003
NORWAY – Lester E. Tanner, 84, of Sumner passed away on Friday, April 11, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Sept. 30, 1918, in Akron, Ohio, the son of Earl and Clara (Casto) Tanner. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked throughout his life as an auto mechanic and retired from Giant Foodstores as a truck mechanic. Lester will be remembered most by those who were close to him for his passion for music, having especially excelled at playing the fiddle. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Shirley White of Sumner.
