1979 – 2003

PORTLAND. – Jerry A. Greenwell Jr., 23, a resident of Portland, died Monday, April 14, at the Maine Medical Center following a brief illness.

He was born in Brunswick, on Nov. 1, 1979, attended schools in Brunswick and graduated from Telstar High School in Bethel with the Class of 1997. He received his Culinary Arts Degree from Southern Maine Technical College in 1999.

During his sophomore year at Telstar he was selected to participate in Bethel’s first Rotary Club Student Exchange program where he resided in Germany and attended school for a year. He also attended Dirigo Boys State sponsored by the American Legion.

At the time of his death, he was the Restaurant Supervisor at the Marriott Hotel in South Portland. He was loved and respected by all that knew him.

He is survived by parents, Shirley Valore of Brunswick, Jerry A. and Jeri B. Greenwell of Bethel; a grandmother, Lorraine Valore; a sister Michele, her husband, Jesse and their daughter Danielle; two brothers, Robert and Matthew; soul mate Lindsay; aunts, uncles, and cousins residing in states from Maine to Texas.
