GARDINER – Evelyn Duplissis has been named Mrs. Androscoggin County International and will represent that area in the Mrs. Maine International Competition on Sunday, May 4, at the Gardiner Area High School theater.
Mrs. Androscoggin County International is the wife of Scott Duplissis and they reside in Lewiston with their cats and dogs. She is employed as a commercial loan assistant at Auburn Savings.
In her spare time Duplissis enjoys hiking, reading and yoga. She is also a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Androscoggin County and a volunteer with the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society.
As part of her participation in the event, the platform issue she will speak on throughout her reign is animal welfare.
The three areas of competition are personal interview/platform (50 percent of score), evening gown (25 percent), aerobic wear (25 percent). The winner will be crowned by her husband and will receive a package valued at more than $10,000 and the opportunity to represent the state nationally at the Mrs. International Competition in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.
