SOUTH PORTLAND – Angel Cota drew a bases-loaded walk with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning Friday to hoist South Portland to a 7-6 SMAA baseball victory over Edward Little.

South Portland (2-0) trailed 6-2 in the third inning before bouncing back behind the bat of Scott Guillerault, who belted out three hits, scored three runs and knocked in three more. Andy Wood scored two runs for the Red Riots. Craig Cormier collected two RBIs for the Red Eddies (0-2).

Windham 4, Lewiston 1

WINDHAM – Josh Fowler singled in the winning-run to send Windham to a 4-1 SMAA victory over Lewiston.

The Eagles (1-1) no-hit the Blue Devils (0-2) through seven innings.

Mt. Ararat 9, Mt. Blue 1

FARMINGTON – Mark Rogers struck out 18 batters to carry Mt. Ararat to a 9-1 KVAC victory over Mt. Blue.

Rogers allowed three hits for the Eagles (2-1). Ben Saviello worked five innings and took the loss for the Cougars (1-2).

Oxford Hills 9, Morse 3

SOUTH PARIS – Garrett Olson pounded out three hits, falling just a home run short of the cycle, as Oxford Hills sailed past Morse 9-3 in KVAC action.

Matt McDonnell went the distance on the mound for the Vikings (3-0) and helped his own cause with two hits. Joe Baker and Brent Grenier also pitched in with two hits each for Oxford Hills, while Brandon Riva and Jarod Darling smacked two hits apiece for the Shipbuilders.

Gorham 1, Gray-NG 0

GORHAM – Phil Schools tossed a no-hitter in Gorham’s 1-0 WMC victory over Gray-New Gloucester.

Schools struck out seven and walked two. He narrowly outdueled Louie Bernardini, who allowed only three hits and fanned four for the Patriots (0-2).

The Rams (4-0) scored in the fifth inning when Brian Schools doubled and scored on a base hit by Eric Burnheimer.

Oak Hill 9, Camden Hills 5

CAMDEN – Rick Leavitt recovered from a four-run third inning to pitch a nine-inning complete game and pick up the win as Oak Hill defeated Camden Hills 9-5 in KVAC action.

Adam Shaffstall delivered a bases-loaded triple off Windjammers reliever Pat Alward with two out in the top of the ninth.

Tony Poulin also smacked an extra-base hit for the Raiders (2-0).
