PARIS – The Snow Hoppers Snowmobile Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, at the C.N. Brown Conference Room in South Paris. The meeting starts with potluck supper and will be followed by election of officers. Booster ticket winners will be drawn. Plans will be made for a yard sale in June to benefit Pine Tree Camp. OXFORD – The Oxford Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Friday, April 25, at the Kay House, Pleasant Street. Doreen McAlister Bartlett will present a program on the life and times of Mattie McAlister Ordway, who was a long-time resident of Oxford. The public is invited.
Band concert
BETHEL – The Mahoosuc Community Band will give its annual spring concert at 7 p.m. Monday, April 28, at the West Parish Congregational Church on Church Street. The concert is dedicated to the late conductor Ernie Downs.
DARE for parents
PARIS – The Paris Police Department will host an informational drug abuse resistance education parent night from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, May 5, in the Forum at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.
Guest speaker will be former national DARE president and Bangor police officer Dan Frazell. There will be strong adult content and no one under 18 will be permitted without written parent consent. For reservations, call Police Chief David Verrier at the Paris Police Department at 743-7448.
