1932 – 2003

Danville – Joyce M. Girardin, 70, of Grain Mill Road, entered into eternity Thursday, April 24.

She was born in Lewiston, July 20, 1932 the daughter of William and Hazel Wark Olson. She was educated in Auburn schools, graduating from Edward Little High School and Mid State School of Business.

She was married to John L. Girardin and had been employed as a cashier at the Auburn K-Mart.

She was a member of Court Street Baptist Church and also attended East Auburn Baptist Church. She taught vacation bible school at Court Street Baptist Church and was involved in numerous church groups and committees.

She was surrounded and loved by her children and grandchildren. She was also loved and admired by friends, co-workers and fellow worshippers. She loved her pets and was an avid gardener and keyboardist.

She is survived by her husband of Danville; three daughters, Diane Turcotte and her husband Marc of Poland, Debbie Conant and her husband Michael of New Gloucester, and Donna Sullivan and her husband Donald of Poland; a son, John Girardin and his wife Joella of Poland; 12 grandchildren, Jason, Jamie and Jessie Turcotte, Ryan, Johnny and Megan Conant, Heidi and Lindsay Strait, Jenny Cross and Aaron Girardin; and one son-in-law, Gilbert Strait of Auburn.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Strait, in 1999.
