I would like to respond to your April 19 letter from Christopher Crowley on smoking and the adult entertainment industry.

First of all, I respect his opinion and any on this matter. However, there may be a side to this particular subject that some people may have overlooked.

Spoken as a nonsmoker married to a nonsmoker, I can only attest to our feelings and we have been staying home and missing out on a lot of dances and night life because we do not like to breathe other people’s smoke. It makes our entire evening uncomfortable and not worth it. Our clothing reeks of smoke when we get home and we have to shower and shampoo before we can even go to bed.

We love to dance and constantly stay home rather than go through all this.

I am willing to bet that we are not alone. Perhaps for every smoker who would stay home rather than not smoke, there is one or maybe two who will take their place.
