LEWISTON – Pat Long of Century 21-Advantage in Lewiston recently obtained her associate’s broker license.

She passed a three-hour exam that focuses on national and Maine real estate law and procedures. In preparation, she attended two six-week courses in Augusta.

An associate’s broker’s license is required by Maine law. It permits Long to continue to practice real estate brokerage in the state, including listing, selling, marketing land, commercial and residential properties.

All sales agents must obtain this license within the first two years of practice to keep an associate’s license active.

Long will also be required to pursue continuing education equivalent to 15 credit hours every two years.
