WALES – Steve Robert netted four goals and had one assist to lead Oak Hill to a 9-4 victory over Lincoln Academy in boys’ lacrosse action Thursday. Adam Buckingham chipped in for the Raiders (2-2) with two goals, while single goals by Joey Hinkley, Josh Poisson and David Chase completed the scoring. Nick Sirois turned away 14 shots in net while earning the win.
Mt. Blue 14, Wiscasset 1
FARMINGTON – Sam Rains shined for a second night in a row with a pair of goals and four assists to power Mt. Blue to a 14-1 win over Wiscasset in boys’ lacrosse action.
The Cougars (4-0) scored all of their goals before the final frame. Buzzy Cyr chipped in with a pair of goals and assists in the win. Mt. Blue applied serious pressure, outshooting Wiscasset by a margin of 40-15.
Falmouth 11, St. Dom’s 3
FALMOUTH – Canor Frantzen tallied five goals to lead Falmouth to an 11-3 win over St. Dom’s in boys’ lacrosse action.
The Yachtsmen moved the ball very well, outshooting the Saints 32-11. Chris Chase chipped in with three goals. Falmouth led 7-3 at the halfpoint.
Patrick O’Connell helped the Saints with two goals, while Zach Tyburski added one.
Baseball
NYA 5, Buckfield 2
BUCKFIELD – Tim Lachance cracked a pair of hits and added two RBIs to lead North Yarmouth Academy to a 5-2 win over Buckfield Thursday. Luke Welch chipped in with two hits for the Panthers (5-0), while David Griswold smacked a double.
Brendon Harvey led Buckfield with two hits and one RBI.
Gray/NG 3, Lake Region 2
NAPLES – Louie Bernardini cracked an RBI single in the third inning to help Gray-New Gloucester edge Lake Region 3-2 Thursday.
Shane Corcoran had three of the Patriot’s (2-3) nine hits, including a double. Corcoran also notched his first pitching victory of the season with 11 strikeouts, while allowing just one hit.
Sanford 9, Lewiston 0
SANFORD – Colby Perkins belted an RBI double that ignited an eight-run fifth inning as Sanford recorded a 9-0 shutout over Lewiston on Thursday. Jason Smith and Jeff Beede chipped in for the Redskins (6-1) with two hits apiece. Evan Gray allowed two hits in six innings while earning the win.
Dustin Longchamps threw four innings for the Blue Devils (0-7) and took the loss.
