1916 – 2003

FARMINGTON – Irving E. Frost, 86, of Rumford, died Thursday, May 1, at the Sandy River Center for Health Care. A lifelong resident of the area, he resided on Crescent Avenue, Rumford.

Born in Rumford, Dec. 7, 1916, the son of Irving A. and Agnes (Heath) Frost, he had attended Rumford schools and Stephens High School.

Mr. Frost had worked for many years at Boise Cascade Paper Co. in Rumford in the Maintenance Dept. and the Steam Plant as a shift foreman. He had been a member of the Maine National Guard.

He was married in Brunswick on June 6, 1938 to the former Loretta Patrie, who died in Rumford on Nov. 3, 1989.

Survivors include a son, Eugene Frost Sr. and his wife, Rebecca of Rumford; a brother, Albert Frost of Monticello, Ga.; three grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Wendall and husband, John of West Paris, Eugene I. Frost, Jr. of Rumford and Ashley Marie Wendall of West Paris; two great-grandchildren, John Scott and Dakota Karlene Wendall of West Paris.
