1927 – 2003

LEWISTON – Paul Eugene Tessier, 75, a resident of Weston Road, Turner, died Lewiston, Monday evening, May 5, at d’Youville Pavilion where he had been a resident for one month.

He was born Aug. 17, 1927, in Livermore Falls, the son of Hector and Flora Morrisette Tessier. He was a graduate of Jay High School. He served in the U.S.M.C. during World War II from 1945 to 1946 and then in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1953.

He married Jeannette Maroon April 22, 1960 at St. Joseph Church in Lewiston. He used to run a photo shop on Main Street, Livermore Falls next to Dreamland Theater, and later worked as a self-employed master electrician.

He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, a member of the Frank L. Mitchell V.F.W., the George Bunton American Legion Post 10, K of C. and Toastmaster Club. He enjoyed scuba diving and singing, he and his wife sang with The Magic Pops Chorus, he in his younger years also sang in the Denver Colorado Opera. He did a solo in the opera ” Faust”. He kept his sense of humor and patience right till the end.

He is survived by his wife of Turner; two daughters, Dena Wade and her husband William of Lewiston; Brenda Tessier of Auburn; one son, John Tessier and his wife Jessica of Livermore Falls; three brothers, Norman of Massachusetts, Hervey of Brunswick and Conrad of Turner; one sister, Jacqueline Conzemius and her husband Robert of Ames, Iowa; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
