TURNER – A Greene man was killed Tuesday when he lost control of his car and flipped the vehicle on Route 219, according to a state police report.

Eric J. Denonville, 23, died shortly after crashing about 5:15 p.m. near the Hartford town line, the report said.

Details about the crash were not available Wednesday night. Police said Denonville’s was the only vehicle involved.

It was not known what caused him to lose control a short distance from Bear Pond Campground during late afternoon commuter hour.

Denonville, originally from Lewiston, graduated from Leavitt High School in 1999.

He then joined the U.S. Army and was a member of the reserves at the time of the crash.

Denonville’s fiancee, Elizabeth Ramey, of Portland is currently stationed in Iraq with the U.S. Army, according to his obituary.
