1927 – 2003
LEWISTON – Dorothy M. Lajoie, 75, formerly of 5 Autumn Lane, Lewiston, died Wednesday, May 7, at the d’Youville Pavilion, where she had been a resident since January.
Born in Lewiston on Aug. 23, 1927, she was the daughter of Auguste C. and Maria Cormier Lajoie. She was educated in local schools. She was employed as a bookkeeper, first at the Samson Supermarket, and then for over 20 years by Bourque’s Market, retiring last May. A member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish, she loved to crochet, and was an avid sports fan, especially enjoying hockey and football.
Survivors include three brothers, Robert and wife, Florence, of Sebastian, Fla., Rene and wife, Jocelyn, of Rockledge, Fla., and Bertrand and wife, Joannie ,of Wayne, N.J.; two sisters, Lorraine and husband, Simeon, Labonte and Normande and husband, Romeo Moreau, all of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews.
