AUBURN – John F. Murphy Homes Inc. has been informed by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities that it has been accredited for a period of three years for its Community Employment Services program.

This highest level of accreditation is awarded to organizations that show substantial fulfillment of the standards established by CARF. An organization receiving a three-year accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable and accountable. Further, an organization accredited for three years clearly indicates that present conditions represent an established pattern of total operations that is likely to be maintained or improved in the foreseeable future.

John F. Murphy Homes, Inc. is a nonprofit agency with offices at 800 Center St. It has been providing services and support to people with mental retardation, autism and related disabilities for more than 25 years.

CARF is an independent, not for profit accrediting body promoting quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of persons served. Since 1966 CARF has established consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
