I thought that America was the land of the free. Where are our rights?
I’m talking about the article in the newspaper where Gov. Baldacci said he would ban smokers in bars and clubs.
They don’t want my drag of cig, they don’t get my money. No restaurant for me. No more beano.
I don’t give money to people who don’t respect our rights.
I’m 70 years old. I have smoked since I was 15 and I’m still here.
Doctors made my husband quit and he took about $300 to $600 a month in prescriptions. One and a half years later he died at 68.
No way am I quitting. I am an American. I do have rights.
If the governor wants our votes he better wake up. Put the smoking ban on the ballot and let the people decide.
Everyone has their rights. Where are ours?
The land of the free is going down the drain.
