WALES – Oak Hill pitcher Julie Lizotte tossed her first career no-hitter and also belted a double and a triple to thrust Oak Hill to a 15-2 KVAC win over Lincoln Academy on Friday.

Lizotte was 4-for-4 with four RBIs for the day. Danielle Sargent smacked two doubles and one triple, went 3-for-4 and drove in two for Oak Hill (9-4).

St. Dom’s 13, Freeport 0

FREEPORT – St. Dom’s catcher Kat Vincent went 3-for-5, including a three-run home run in the second inning, to lead the Saints past Freeport 13-0 in WMC softball action Friday afternoon.

Winning pitcher Amanda Collette (4-1) helped her own cause, going 2-for-4 with a triple.

Telstar 10, Wiscasset 5

WISCASSET-Telstar’s Ashley Stambolis drove in two runs in the fourth inning to tie the game, and the Rebels eventually moved on to their seventh straight MVC win, 10-5 over Wiscasset.

Stambolis also threw out a Wiscasset player at second base in the seventh inning.

The Rebels’ Jessi Freeington smashed two hits during the fourth, one of which scored two runs.

She finished with three RBIs.

Mtn. Valley 16, Boothbay 4

RUMFORD – Tanya Nicols blasted a home run and a triple, driving in six runs to lead Mountain Valley to a 16-4 MVC win over Boothbay.

Jen Kellogg added three safeties for the Falcons (3-5).

Kristen Nicols gained her third win with a complete-game effort. Mandie Rideout had a pair of singles for the Seahawks (0-8).

Jay 3, Lisbon 1

JAY – Jay didn’t collect any extra-base hits, but the Tigers hustled to a 3-1 MVC win over Lisbon.

Bre Loon (6-4) picked up the pitching win. Jay’s Rachel Gagnon was the lone repeat hitter, racking up three hits and driving in a run.

Edward Little 4, Westbrook 3

WESTBROOK – Kendra Keene had two hits, scored and plated a run to lift Edward Little to a 4-3 SMAA win over Westbrook.

The Blue Blazes (4-6) scored first with three runs in the third inning. Pitcher Amanda Harmon had the only extra-base hit with a double and plated two of Westbrook’s three runs.

The Red Eddies (6-4) rallied for four runs in the fifth inning to take a 4-3 lead that they sustained the rest of the way. Brittany Short earned the pitching victory with five strikeouts.
