RUMFORD – There will be a Krazy Daze food sale and raffles from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 22, at the Senior Citizen Center, 50 Congress St. There will be a Special Beano at 12:30 p.m. Gift certificates and items donated by area businesses will be given to Beano winners. Proceeds will be donated to the Oxford County Triad to help support Oxford County Senior Citizen Appreciation Day.

Story time

RUMFORD – The final pre-school story time for this school year will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, at the Rumford Public Library. The theme is “Picnics.”

Bring a lunch and a picnic blanket. Blankets will be spread in the public room in case of rain.

All area children ages 2-5 are welcome.

Story time will resume in the fall.

Relay for Life

RUMFORD – The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life will be held Friday and Saturday, May 30-31, at Hosmer Field. Activities will be held for adults and children, including live bands and raffles. A silent auction will begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 30, and final bids will be announced at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 31. Farmers program

OXFORD – Farmers have until June 2, 2003, to sign up for the Direct and Counter-Cyclical Program at the Oxford County Farm Service Agency office. Applications accepted after the deadline will require a $100 per farm late filing fee.
