Dear Sun Spots: Once again the Abused Women’s Advocacy Project is writing to ask for help from the community. We have recently partnered with The Meadows, a senior living center in Greene and SAD 52 Adult Education. Residents at The Meadows will be working with adult educators making items for our emergency shelter in Auburn. Due to limited resources, we need help with supplies to make these items. We are hoping readers might donate: some extra yarn, nylon net, nylon thread and cotton yarn (for dishcloths). These wonderful residents are more than willing to make much needed items for us, but we need to get them some materials. If any readers have some of these items, please deliver them to the AWAP administrative offices at the Bates Mill Complex or directly to The Meadows, 433 Route 202 in Greene. – Chris Fenno, Auburn.
