UNIONVILLE, Mo. – Lynne Stufflebeam, 70, died Wednesday, May 21, at her home in Unionville.

She was born in Monmouth on April 3, 1933, the daughter of Gordon and Anne (Chick) Smith. She was raised in the Monmouth area and attended local schools. She was united in marriage to Herbert Stufflebeam on Aug. 15, 1953 in Monmouth. The couple would have soon celebrated 50 years of marriage. They had recently made their home in Unionville, Mo.

She was a member of the East Monmouth Methodist Church. She enjoyed raising flowers, birdwatching, knitting and especially being with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Herbert of Unionville; a daughter, Judith Hayward and her husband Melvin of Milo, Iowa; her sons, Michael Stufflebeam and his wife Debbie of Monmouth, Paul Stufflebeam and his wife Nancy of Lewiston, Mark Stufflebeam and his wife Melissa of Litchfield; her sisters, Bunny True, Helen Smith, Carol Gagne; brothers, Chelsie Smith and Earl Smith; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; and six brothers and sisters.
