LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens held their final meeting Monday at Murray Hall with 56 present, opening with a meal served by SeniorsPlus in Wilton.
Chairman Shirley Couture led the business meeting and read “Freedom Is Not Free” and “Old Maine Farmer.” It was noted that Carmen Moreau and Blanche Bilodeau were ill and notes of thanks were read from Central Maine Health Care and from the family of Lannie Roy.
Reports were accepted from Secretary Alice DeMoras and Treasurer Marilyn DeSoto.
Happy birthday was sung to members who observe their special days in May and June.
The drawings were won by Doris DeMillo, Alice DeMoras, Lorette Chabot, Mary Lou Legere and Marilyn DeSoto. A bear donated by Cindy Hebert was won by Joyce Richards.
The club will be in recess until 1 p.m. on Sept. 8. Guests are welcome.
