1976 – 2003

MORRISVILLE, Vt. – Jennifer Lynne Edwards, 27, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 21, in Morrisville.

She was born on Feb. 7, 1976, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Gary N. and Jeanne R. (Josselyn) Edwards. She graduated from Houlton High School and Bates College. She was a VISTA volunteer in Morrisville and in Memphis, Tenn., where she worked helping other people. Music and the arts were a large part of her life. She was a member of the well-known Memphis Chamber Choir and sang with two community choruses in Vermont. She was a member of the Houlton United Methodist Church where, as a youth, she was active in singing groups, the youth group, and served as the church organist. She was immersed in realizing her dream of owning her own business. She and Sharon Deitz had been working tirelessly for several months on a gourmet coffee shop and pub known as Bee’s Knees. They were within a month of opening in Morrisville.

In addition to her parents of Sullivan, she is survived by her brother, Mark Edwards of Bangor; paternal grandparents, Patricia and Nelson Edwards of Auburn; two aunts, the Rev. Lynne Josselyn and her husband, Larry Conrad of Caribou, and Betsy Bowman and her husband, Jeffrey, of Tennessee; an uncle, C. Clement Josselyn and his companion, Jeannine Ricci of Lewiston; three cousins, Heather Josselyn Cranson, Kristin Josselyn and Rebecca Bowman; and many special friends.

Jenn touched all who knew her in a special way. She gave of herself to everyone she met.
