BOSTON – Northeastern University recognizes students who distinguish themselves academically during the school year. The following area residents were recently named to the university’s dean’s list for the winter quarter 2003, which ended in March.

Auburn: Kara D. Forgues, majoring in physical therapy; Kristin A. Roberge, majoring in civil engineering; Daniel E. Rosquete, majoring in liberal arts and science; Andrea R. Thornton, dual major.

Bowdoin: Tyler J. Mann, majoring in liberal arts and science.

Gray: Brandi A. Rand, majoring in human services in arts and sciences; Stephen C. Bearce, majoring in finance and insurance.

Lewiston: Crystal L. Badeau, majoring in business administration; Nicolas S. Dube, majoring in music; Johanna L. Gauvreau, majoring in liberal arts and science.

Lisbon Falls: Leigh W. Huston, majoring in speech-language pathology and audiology; Emily E. White, majoring in psychology.

Minot: Amy K. OLfene, majoring in liberal arts and non-science.

North Monmouth: Lauren A. Kolenda, majoring in sociology.

Poland: David J. Coffin, majoring in liberal arts and non-science.

Raymond: Adam A. Avila, majoring in marketing.

To achieve the dean’s list distinction, students must carry a full program of at least four courses, have a quality point average of 3.25 or greater out of a possible 4.0 and carry no single grade lower than a C during the course of their college career. Each student receives a letter of commendation and congratulation from their college dean.
