LIVERMORE FALLS – Several citizens were honored in the dedication of the 2002 annual town report, which is available at the Town Office.
Remembered for their service to the town are former Selectmen Ron Richards, Joe Riordan and Patricia Aucoin Rowe; former Fire Chief Ken Coombs; and former Tax Collector Winnifred Wardwell.
Recognized with appreciation for their many years of service are former Selectman Bruce Moulton and former Road Foreman Albert “Sonny” Jones Jr.
Included in the report are the 40 articles on the annual warrant, along with the selectmen’s and Budget Committee’s recommendations, which reportedly differ very little.
Figures released Tuesday state that the selectmen recommend expenditures that are $56,536 lower than last year and the Budget Committee’s amounts are $66,543 less (with no jobs lost).
The committee also recommends using the coming year to study the feasibility of decreasing dispatch, educating the public on possible changes and working on rewording upcoming contracts, according to a statement on comparison figures.
The annual report also contains messages from each department head and a lengthy list of those who have not paid their taxes.
