RUMFORD – Local Cable Access Channel 2 will broadcast interviews with virtually all of the 20 or so candidates running for office several times next week.
Jolene Lovejoy, host of “Your River Valley Connection,” said the “Meet the Candidates” program was taped last week for broadcast this coming week.
The 90-minute program will be shown at 2 p.m. Monday, June 2; 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 3; 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 4; 7 p.m. Thursday, June 5; and 2 p.m. Monday, June 9.
Municipal and state elections will take place throughout the River Valley on Tuesday, June 10.
Candidates for Rumford, Mexico and Dixfield selectmen, Rumford town clerk, and SAD 43 and SAD 21 Board of Directors took part in the program.
“This is an opportunity to meet the candidates from your community,” Lovejoy said.
Lovejoy, a Rumford selectman, said, “Your River Valley Connection” is a periodic Local Cable Access Channel 2 program that features a variety of issues facing the area.
