On Memorial Day at 10:20 a.m. my husband and I had just gotten home from watching the parade.
It started at the park in Lewiston at 9:30 a.m. We were in Auburn at the end of the bridge and got back home within one hour.
How sad, but I must thank all who participated in it.
There was not one high school band. With all the taxes we who live in Auburn and Lewiston pay, there should have been at least one school.
Maybe next year we could take up a collection over and above our taxes and pay our schools to march.
Shame on all who are responsible for this.
We would not have what we have today without our veterans.
Once more, I salute and thank all who participated in the Memorial Day parade.
