TOPSHAM – The Maine section of American Society of Civil Engineers named William E. Brown the 2003 Civil Engineer of the Year.
Brown is president of Wright-Pierce, a full service civil and environmental engineering firm based in Topsham with branch offices throughout New England. ASCE makes this honorary award annually to an engineer for continued excellence and contributions to the practice of civil engineering.
Brown was nominated for this award for building one of the most respected groups of civil and environmental engineers in New England and for creating a corporate culture of technical excellence and client service. Brown has a bachelor of science degree in civil and environmental engineering from Cornell University and a master’s of science degree in environmental engineering from Northeastern University.
He resides in Brunswick with his wife and two children, both of whom are in college.
