Road closing

BRIDGTON – The Maine Department of Transportation has announced that Willet Road wil be closed to traffic at the bridge over Willet Brook until late September.

The closure begins at the town garage and ends about 100 feet from the other side of the bridge. The bridge will be reopened prior to the Fryeburg Fair.

Flower classes

PARIS – Sally May of Oquossoc, will offer two pressed-flower classes on Saturday, June 7, at the McLaughlin Garden, 97 Main St., South Paris. A children’s session will run from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by an adult session from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Cost for the program is $5 for children and $10 for adults with all materials provided. Limited space. Preregister by calling 743-8830.

WEST PARIS – A patriotic sing-along will take place at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 8, at the West Paris Baptist Church. The Community Singers will sing under the direction of Mary Standard with Maurice Veatch on the piano.
