It seems that our governor, former Congressman John Elias Baldacci, is upset about the cost of the No Child Left Behind Act. The more I listen and read, the more I see and hear the governor complaining about the cost and ineffectiveness of the No Child Left Behind Act.
But, I cannot help but wonder why no member of the press has asked the good governor why he voted for the No Child Left Behind Act when he was a congressman representing the northern half of the state of Maine.
Interesting to note that both he and his cohort from the southern half of the state, Congressman Tom Allen, D-Maine, both voted for this act which is now, according to the governor and members of the Legislature, expensive, useless and undermining the education of the children of Maine.
