Dennis Gervais of Portland’s letter, titled “Liberals psyche,” tells me this man has to be a steady listener of the likes of Rush Limbaugh and the other loudmouth know-it-all, Michael Savage (May 17).

If Mr. Gervais can be duped by such quacks, why can’t we be psyched by what we believe in?

Since Sept. 11, all we’ve heard over and over again is about terrorism and weapons of mass destruction that still can’t be found. All Mr. Bush No. 2 has to do is ask his father. After all, he and Mr. Reagan sold them the weapons!

Also, the Electoral College didn’t elect this president. The presidency was handed to him by the Supreme Court!

What is a conservative anyway?

According to them, liberals are the big spenders. How is it then, when conservatives are in command, surplus money disappears and the national debt goes out of sight?

Before this still walking almighty is done, you’ll wish that a Bill Clinton was back in office. Don’t forget, a dirty tactics committee, lead by Newt Gingrich, did everything during his last seven years to get him out, but it didn’t stop him from putting the country back on its feet. Let’s see how close the Ranger will come to his accomplishments.

By doing things his way, it won’t be long before conservatives crawl under a rock.

So, conservatives, don’t spend all of that tax return in one place. Spread it around to help the economy!
