AUBURN – Lewiston and Auburn residents are urged to leave their cars at home today and to indulge in a free breakfast and free bus rides.

The Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments is offering a free breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, at Festival Plaza.

The CityLink bus service throughout Lewiston and Auburn will be free all day.

Both are part of the statewide Commute Another Way day, sponsored by Go Maine. The event focuses attention on the health and environmental benefits of walking, biking and taking public transit or car pools to work.

Now in its ninth year, the event is expected to attract more than 5,000 commuters and involve up to 500 businesses across the state.
