I made a point to observe the gas prices of five different gas stations in Lewiston on May 28. The price of regular gas at each station was $1.399 per gallon. I had just come from Auburn where I bought regular gas for $1.259 per gallon. This is a huge difference of 14 cents a gallon.

You can buy gas anytime from 6 to 14 cents a gallon cheaper any day of the week on Route 4 in Auburn. (It’s been this way for months.) This is a rip-off for the people of Lewiston.

I do not believe these stations pay any more for their gas than the station does in Auburn.
