AUBURN – Berman & Simmons was recently ranked third among commercial litigation firms in Maine by Chambers and Partners, a London, England based legal publisher and consultant.

“It’s great to receive the accolades of your peers, but the best reward is that this ranking is based solely on getting results and exceeding the expectations of our clients,” said Berman & Simmons attorney William Robitzek, who along with partners Steven Silin and Jack Simmons, was specifically recommended as an “excellent commercial litigator.”

Entry in the ChambersUSA Guide to America’s Leading Business Lawyers is based solely on market recommendations, with researchers spending a year canvassing more than 4,500 clients and lawyers across the United States to obtain a consistent market view of which firms’ attorneys are considered leaders in their field.

ChambersUSA describes Berman & Simmons as “pre-eminent for the kind of work they do,” and known for representing smaller businesses, sole proprietorships and minority stockholders in contract disputes, unfair competition cases, antitrust violations, class actions and litigation in breach of fiduciary duty. They are recommended by clients as “results-oriented” and “able to move the case to the bottom line as quickly and effectively as possible.” Virtually all their work is contingent fee-based.

Berman & Simmons has been representing the people of Maine for more than 75 years. The firm has offices in Lewiston, Bangor and Portland.
