AUBURN – Dead River won a pair of games Friday night in the Senior Division. Tyler Snowe banged 2 hits as Dead River edged East Auburn 7-6 in the opener. Bill Merrill gained the mound win. Matt Nadeau and Kyle Giguere were repeat hitters for EA. . . Tyler Dorris cracked 2 hits as Dead River squeezed out a 3-2 victory over Sam’s Italians in game 2. Winning hurler was Steve Simpson. Tough-luck losing pitcher Justin Ciszewski struck out 14.

AUBURN – U.S. Glass compiled a 1-2 record in recent action in the Major Division. Glass beat Auburn Suburban’s East Auburn team 7-2 for its first victory of the season. Mark Smith sparked the offense with 3 hits, including a triple. Evan Roy added 2 safeties, and Sean Daigle doubled and drove in 3 runs.
Glass then dropped successive 6-5 decisions to Hudson and to Hardy, Wolf and Downing.
