BUCKFIELD – The Western Maine Chapter of the Small Woodland Owners Association of Maine will gather at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 21, for a tour of the new Maine Dowel Co., which has started up on the site of the former Sebago Woodcrafters on Route 117 near Buckfield village.

Barry Belanger will give a tour of the facility and discuss his perspective of the current dowel business.

Following the mill tour, the session will move to the 142-acre Cornwall Preserve on Paris Hill for a walk of some of the trails. The land, donated to the town of Paris in 1982 by Alice B. Cornwall, sits just below the Paris Hill Country Club.

Coffee and doughnuts will be available at 8:30 a.m. in Buckfield.
