NEWPORT, Vt. (AP) – A 44-year-old man is facing marijuana possession charges after a local drug store employee spotted some illegal plants while developing a roll of film.
The drug store employee also identified the man standing among 14 drying marijuana plants in an indoor photograph, state police said.
David Koslosky of Barton was released on conditions Tuesday after pleading innocent to a series of charges, including felony cultivation and possession, and lying to police.
State police said Koslosky not only was in the pictures developed last November but also had his address on the envelope.
When first approached by police, Koslosky said the plants and paraphernalia in the apartment belonged to someone else.
Koslosky also faces two felony counts of selling methadone, which stems the symptoms of heroin withdrawal and curbs cravings for the opiate.
