Man found naked with little girl receives two years in prison.

PARIS – Justice Thomas E. Delahanty II gave Keith Testani of Hanover a 13-year sentence, with all but two years suspended, for his guilty plea to three counts of gross sexual assault in Oxford County Superior Court Friday.

Delahanty called it a difficult case. He said the more information he received, the more complicated it became to make an appropriate sentence.

Testani was sentenced to 13 years in prison, with all but two years suspended on each count. The sentences will run concurrently. He also will be on probation for 10 years.

Testani, 30, was arrested last summer when he was discovered naked with an 8-year-old girl at her grandmother’s home during a party in Bethel.

He was later indicted on having sexual contact with the girl four times.

The victim’s father told Delahanty during the sentencing that his daughter is in counseling and “is very short tempered.”

“She can go into a full rage at the snap of a finger,” the father said. “Prior to this she was a good student and now her grades have fallen. She’s distracted.”

Assistant District Attorney Richard Beauchesne said any trust of males she had had been violated and may never return. He said the girl thinks of things she should not have to think of and has nightmares.

“Her parents have been through an unimaginable hell,” Beauchesne said. “These people have been hurt since the day it happened, especially when they look into the eyes of their daughter.

“No sentencing can return the happiness or sparkle into the eyes of that little girl,” he said.

Testani, his attorney, Ron Hoffman, and father, Robert, all apologized to the four members of the victim’s family.

Hoffman pointed out that Testani made a full confession and spared the family any grief that may have occurred at a trial. He also remained in jail knowing he needed treatment and has been in treatment since November.

“His doctor rates him as a low risk of re-offending,” Hoffman said.

Testani’s father said his family prays for the little girl every night. He also pointed out that his son is hard-working and civic-minded.

Keith Testani said he has been trying to understand why it happened, but can’t.

“I can only apologize,” Keith said. “I have the deepest sympathy.”
