1908 – 2003

RUMFORD – Ellen Anderson, 94, died Wednesday, June 25, at the Rumford Community Home. She was a resident of Knox St.in Rumford.

Born in Woodland, on Oct. 4, 1908, she was the daughter of William and Catherine (Coholan) Fleming. She was educated in Woodland schools. She moved to the Rumford area in the 1920’s and was married to Aaron Anderson in Mexico, on Aug. 29, 1928. They were married for 69 years until his death in 1997.

Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Margaret and Daniel Casey of Mexico, Alice and John Milligan of Scarborough and Barbara and Peter Aordkian of Oxford, Conn.; four grandsons; four granddaughters; 21 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great stepgrandchildren.

She was predeceased by a grandson; seven brothers; and two sisters.
