LEWISTON – The Woman’s Hospital Association of Central Maine Medical Center will feature the work of James Parisi and Ida Richardson during July.

Parisi grew up in Maine and lives in North Monmouth. He has always enjoyed photographing nature. His interest in photography increased when he started traveling throughout the country about 10 years ago.

He has developed a strong interest in landscape photography, and many of his photos were taken in places where he has had the opportunity to hike or camp. He also has traveled overseas and has been able to capture the history and people of other cultures through his work. He considers his photography a sharing experience.

Also appearing will be the work of Ida Richardson of Poland. Richardson has enjoyed art all her life and studied with Rita Blackerby for about four years, starting with basic drawing then moving on to oil paintings. She finds that working on her paintings allows her to get lost in time.

The exhibit may be viewed in the main corridor of Central Maine Medical Center during July. Information on purchasing the items on exhibit is available at the Gift Shop.

The Woman’s Hospital Association supports CMMC and its patients by promoting the health and welfare of the community and by raising money to fund special projects. If interested in membership or the monthly artist showings, call the association at 795-2295.
