RICHMOND – Enterprise Grange 48, Alexander Reed Road, has postponed its monthly meeting from the first Thursday in July to Thursday, July 17, due to the July 4th holiday.

There will be a potluck cookout at 5:30 p.m. at the Grange Hall followed by the meeting. Dot Wallace will serve dessert. Election of officers will be held and plans completed for coming events.

The Grange will cater a lunch meeting for the Maine Cemetery Association on Saturday, July 19.

Enterprise will have a special meeting at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 20, to honor Jim Goodall Jr. with the Community Citizen Award. The public is invited and all are welcome to share stories about Goodall. The program will be upstairs in the meeting room, with refreshments to follow in the Community Room.

Bob Skoglund, “The Humble Farmer,” will be the featured act and MC for a variety show at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, to benefit the Enterprise Grange Scholarship Fund. Tickets will be $10 at the door or can be obtained from a Grange member. This is Grange’s response to a plea from the town’s young people for an opportunity to share their talents. Anyone wanting to participate should call Marilyn Stinson at 737-2611 and leave a message.
