1918 – 2003

BRUNSWICK – Ellen Sarah Mitchell, 85, formerly of Auburn, died Thursday, July 3, at Parkview Hospital.

Born in Lowell, Mass., March 22, 1918, a daughter of Alfred and Margaret Hanlon Mitchell, she graduated from Edward Little High School in the Class of 1936.

She was a member of St Patrick’s Parish and worked for New England Telephone Co. as a telephone operator. She enjoyed fishing and and many outdoor activities.

She is survived by a niece, Karen Shufeldt; and a grandnephew, Samuel Shufeldt.

She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Mitchell; and a brother, Alfred L. Mitchell.
