NEW YORK CITY – Mark Griffin of Lewiston was recently elected as an associate member of The Dramatists Guild, the New York-based organization that protects and promotes the work of American playwrights, composers and lyricists.
The Guild strives to advance the rights and interests of its more than 6,000 members nationwide. Serving on the advisory council of The Dramatists Club are some of the most prestigious artists in theatrical history including Edward Albee, Stephen Sonheim and Terrence McNally.
Serving as an editorial consultant, Griffin collaborated with Dr. Pamela Brill on her forthcoming book, “The Winner’s Will: Turning Any Challenge Into A Personal Best,” which will be published by McGraw-Hill in the spring of 2004.
A graduate of Boston-based Emerson College, Griffin also attended New York University, Playwrights Horizons Theatre Studio in Manhattan and formerly served as a literary services manager with Florida Studio Theatre in Sarasota.
