1957 – 2003

CANTON – Samuel J. Porter, age 46, died Thursday, July 3, 2003, quietly at his home after a short illness surrounded by his wife and step-children. Born on May 18, 1957, the son of Hollis and Janice Porter of Presque Isle. He was a volunteer at the Hartford Food Bank.

He is survived by his wife Linda (Rowe) Porter of Hartford; his step-children Armand and Valerie Rowe, Valerie Kurt Sturtevant, Jason and Diana Rowe, all of Hartford; Chris and Kim Rowe of New Gloucester, a brother Steven and Sue Porter; a sister Rebecca and her husband David Henderson all of Presque Isle; 11 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and two children from a previous marriage.
