TURNER- Jordan Morris smashed a two-run single in the seventh to help send Andy Valley to a 6-5 comeback win over Cole Farms in Zone III American Legion baseball action Tuesday.

Josh Armandi (3-1) had 10 strikeouts while throwing a complete game on Cole Farms’ behalf.

Shane Corcoran had two singles for Cole Farms.

Mid-Coast sweeps Gayton

LEWISTON-Mid-Coast got key hits from Mark Rogers in both games and swept a pair from Gayton.

The first game was a suspended one from nearly two weeks ago that was picked up in the eighth inning. It wasn’t decided until the 13th inning, when Rogers hit a triple and scored on a sacrifice fly by Andy Cantrill home and gave Mid-Coast their long awaited 8-7 win.

Pierce Wigman scored on a passed ball in the top of the 12th to put Mid-Coast ahead, but Shawn Sabine had an RBI single for Gayton in the bottom of the frame to tie the game.

Rogers hit another triple in the third inning of the second game to knock in two runs and send Mid-Coast to a 7-2 victory.

Chad Doughty had a two-run single for Mid-Coast.

Tyler Turgeon was the only repeat hitter of the game for Gayton, and had an RBI single in the fourth.

Locke Mills 8, Poland 4

LOCKE MILLS- Locke Mills scored seven runs on just one hit in the third and defeated Poland, 8-4.

Karl Olson had an RBI triple in the fourth for Locke Mills. Kyle Kipikas tossed a complete game eight-hitter to pick up the win.

Nate Olson clubbed a homer as well as a double to lead Poland.
