LEWISTON – Anita Poirier, formerly of Auburn, celebrated her 100th birthday at the d’Youville Pavilion on June 14.

Entertainment was provided by a guitarist and singer, Eddie and Jeanette Richards. Maurice Morin sang a medley of old French songs and Poirier joined him on the verses.

The room was decorated with birthday banners, flowers and balloons. A buffet lunch was provided. She received many gifts, cards and flowers.

Special out-of-town guests included her only granddaughter, Linda Poirier Fuegen of Prescott, Ariz., and her only great-granddaughter, Stacy Fuegen of Los Angeles. The party was hosted by her two children, Henrietta Poirier LeBlond and husband, Richard, and Bertrand Poirier and wife, Lorraine, all of Auburn.
